At Diverse Australia Inc., we all have different educational and occupational backgrounds. We may also come from different ethnic communities or different countries. We are united by calling Australia home. We are united by Australian values, our vision of the Australian migrant community and its contribution to the wider Australian community. We promote respect, tolerance and cultural diversity. We see migration as a vital element of Australian economic success and recognize the contribution that migrants from all over the world have made to this country over the span of centuries. We want to take part in forming the migrant communities of tomorrow – strong, prosperous, resilient and intolerant to crime.
Our mission
We want to invest into the community. We want to see stronger, better integrated, better connected and more resilient migrant community which has evolved and transformed itself as well as the wider community around it by constant learning, effective training, skills development and tireless work for the economic benefit of Australia. A community that respects Australian values and amplifies the virtues of good character. A community which respects Australian history and heritage and those who made it. A community which is friendly, tolerant, forgiving and reconciled. A community which believes that major positive changes can be achieved by the power of education, technology, science and research.
We want to improve people’s employment prospects. We want to see people from all backgrounds, whether Australian citizens, established migrants or new arrivals, pursue the career of their dreams and be productive. We want to enhance the employment prospects of everyone, based on their skills and abilities. In the post COVID-19 world, the employment market may change drastically and people may no longer be able to do the jobs they did before the crisis. We need to help people with research on new skills and jobs, help them retrain, drive changes in new industries, connect with employers and look at novel ways working.
We know, that the face of migration in Australia may change, including the occupations that will be in demand. We want to help to maximise the economic benefits of migration for Australian states and territories. We want to promote migration to regional and rural areas of Australia and work together with the Commonwealth, State and Territory governments to create permanent incentives for migrants to stay in lower populated areas of the country. We think that it is critical to help migrants to integrate into the wider community through employment and job creation. Established Australians and new arrivals need to work together with to drive local employment and business opportunities. It is necessary to utilise migration as an instrument to make Australian community more resilient, adaptable and ready to overcome shocks, whether of social or economic nature.
We believe in progress through technology. This is going to have a dramatic effect on how we do things and will be critical if we want our businesses, products and services to remain competitive globally. Digital technology, programming and automation of business processes are going to lead the communication between stakeholders in the post pandemic world and change virtually every aspect of the way we do things. We want our nation to learn how to use tech to reap the benefits.
We want to protect the most vulnerable ones. We want to protect the rights and interests of vulnerable refugees and migrants with disabilities, as well as Australian citizens who have impairments. We want to further their education and employment prospects, drive diversity and inclusion.
We want our communities to be safe. We want to inform migrants of the importance of abiding by the law and the mores of society as well as of the repercussions of not doing so. We want to promote tolerance and respect as well as reduce tension between different ethnic migrant groups and the wider community.
